\t\t<\/p>\n Ellen DeGeneres<\/strong><\/a> spoke out about moving to the UK in a new public appearance in England!<\/p>\n The 67-year-old comedian and former talk show host and her wife Portia de Rossi<\/strong><\/a> moved to the Cotswolds region <\/a>in the country late last year. <\/p>\n During a conversation with broadcaster Richard Bacon<\/strong> at the Everyman Theatre on Sunday (July 20), Ellen<\/strong> confirmed that Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s re-election wa a main contributing factor to her staying in England. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Ellen<\/strong> noted that she and Portia had initially only planned to spend a few months a year in the UK and bought a \u201cpart-time house,\u201d but decided to stay after the election results.<\/p>\n \u201cWe got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, \u2018He got in\u2019,\u201d she said, via BBC<\/a>. \u201cAnd we\u2019re like, \u2018We\u2019re staying here.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s absolutely beautiful,\u201d Ellen<\/strong> added. \u201cWe\u2019re just not used to seeing this kind of beauty. The villages and the towns and the architecture \u2013 everything you see is charming and it\u2019s just a simpler way of life. It\u2019s clean. Everything here is just better \u2013 the way animals are treated, people are polite. I just love it here.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe moved here in November, which was not the ideal time, but I saw snow for the first time in my life,\u201d she said. \u201cWe love it here. Portia<\/strong> flew her horses here, and I have chickens, and we had sheep for about two weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n Recently, Ellen<\/strong> showed support for another celebrity<\/a> who moved out of the country. <\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
