Ellen DeGeneres<\/strong><\/a> isn\u2019t ruling out a possible return to TV.<\/p>\n DeGeneres, 67, admitted during a live conversation<\/a> on Sunday, July 20, with English broadcaster Richard Bacon<\/strong> that she misses \u201ca lot\u201d about her show \u2014 but is unsure whether that format would be successful anymore.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, I wish it did, because I would do the same thing here. I would love to do that again, but I just feel like people are watching on their phones, or people aren\u2019t really paying attention as much to televisions, because we\u2019re so inundated with information and entertainment,\u201d DeGeneres said, per BBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n While DeGeneres wasn\u2019t sure what would be in her future, the comedian shared she would \u201cvery carefully\u201d select her next career move.<\/p>\n \u201cI just don\u2019t know what that is yet,\u201d she said. \u201cI want to have fun, I want to do something. I do like my chickens but I\u2019m a little bit bored.\u201d<\/p>\n DeGeneres was the host of her eponymous talk show<\/a> from 2003 to 2022. Before the show came to an end, DeGeneres came under fire after multiple accusations swirled<\/a> of toxic behavior on set. After an internal investigation, DeGeneres promised there would be change.<\/p>\n \u201cThe truth is, I am that person that you see on TV. I am also a lot of other things. \u2026 I am a work in progress, and I am especially working on the impatience thing and it\u2019s not going well because it\u2019s not happening fast enough. I will tell you that,\u201d she said in a monologue when her show returned in 2020.<\/p>\n DeGeneres, for her part, reflected on the scandal<\/a> on Sunday after addressing it in her 2024 Netflix special.<\/p>\n
