It\u2019s the first time that Trump has targeted a media organization with legal action as sitting president.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/890048988\/FILE-0797#from_embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lawsuit<\/a>, filed with the federal court in the Southern District of Florida, names Murdoch, his company News Corp, and its CEO <strong>Robert Thomson<\/strong>, the Journal\u2019s publisher, Dow Jones &amp; Co., and the two reporters who wrote the article published Thursday\u2014<strong>Khadeeja Safdar<\/strong> and <strong>Joe Palazzolo<\/strong>. In the album, according to documents reviewed by the <em>WSJ<\/em>, is a \u201cbawdy\u201d letter bearing Trump\u2019s name. \u201cIt contains several lines of typewritten text framed by the outline of a naked woman,\u201d Safdar and Palazzolo wrote, \u201cwhich appears to be hand-drawn with a heavy marker. A pair of small arcs denotes the woman\u2019s breasts, and the future president\u2019s signature is a squiggly \u2018Donald\u2019 below her waist, mimicking pubic hair.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">In an interview with the <em>Journal<\/em>, Trump denied writing the letter or drawing the picture, saying that it was not him, that it was fake, and that \u201cIt\u2019s a fake Wall Street Journal story.\u201d In that interview, he also said he would \u201csue The Wall Street Journal just like I sued everyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">The alleged album was reportedly assembled before Epstein was first arrested in 2006, after allegations became public that he was sexually abusing girls. In 2019, Epstein died in jail after he was arrested a second time and charged with sex trafficking conspiracy.
