The 2025 hit movie Sinners is set to make its streaming debut on HBO and Max barely a few weeks after it left theaters. The original incarnation of <em>I Know What You Did Last Summer<\/em> is a lot better than its low Rotten Tomatoes rank suggests. And for the time, getting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrities\/jennifer-love-hewitt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Jennifer Love Hewitt<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrities\/sarah-michelle-gellar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Ryan Phillippe<\/strong> and <strong>Freddie Prinze Jr.<\/strong> at the peak of their stardom was quite an accomplishment.<\/p>\n<p>After a drunken night of partying on the beach, Julie James (Hewitt), Helen Shivers (Gellar), Barry Cox (Phillippe) and Ray Bronson (Prinze) accidentally hit a man and resolve to hide their crime. One year later, the friends are estranged from each other when they\u2019re stalked by a killer armed with a fish hook who sends them menacing messages that echo the name of the movie. There have been horror comedies for decades, but it still took a long time for audiences to get films that worked as great examples of both genres. Even now, horror comedies tend to lean more towards comedy than horror. The killer has waited years for this moment, and these teens will be picked off one by one until the last survivor remains. The forecast for summer in Santa Carla, California, calls for a lot of sunshine and vampires. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrities\/kiefer-sutherland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Kiefer Sutherland<\/strong><\/a> plays David, the leader of a band of vamps who have slowly been drawing a teenager named Michael Emerson (<strong>Jason Patric<\/strong>) into their ranks.<\/p>\n<p>To save his older brother, Sam Emerson (Haim) has to turn to Santa Clara\u2019s self-proclaimed vampire hunters, Edgar (Feldman) and Alan Frog (<strong>Jamison Newlander<\/strong>). But it\u2019s definitely a horror film, even though writer and director <strong>Ari Aster<\/strong> characterizes it as a breakup movie. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrities\/florence-pugh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Florence Pugh<\/strong><\/a> has a star-making turn as Dani, a young woman whose relationship with her boyfriend, Christian (<strong>Jack Reynor<\/strong>), is severely strained even before they take off on a nine-day trip to rural Sweden for a rare festival that only takes place every 90 years.<\/p>\n<p>The unhappy couple is accompanied by Christian\u2019s friends, Mark (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/pictures\/will-poulters-transformation-from-child-star-to-marvel-actor-page\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Will Poulter<\/strong><\/a>) and Josh (<strong>William Jackson Harper<\/strong>), as well as a few other outsiders. Muschietti and the screenwriters updated the setting to the summer of 1989, and the film is impeccably cast with terrific young actors, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/finn-wolfhard-on-the-end-of-stranger-things-co-directing-his-new-film\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Stranger Things<\/em>\u2018 <strong>Finn Wolfhard<\/strong><\/a> and <em>Dungeons &amp; Dragons: Honor Among Thieves<\/em> star <strong>Sophia Lillis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/pictures\/see-bill-skarsgards-drastic-transformations-for-spooky-roles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd<\/strong><\/a> has an unbelievably creepy turn as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, the ageless entity that stalks the children of Derry every 27 years. Following the death of his younger brother, Georgie, at Pennywise\u2019s hands, Bill Denbrough (<strong>Jaeden Lieberher<\/strong>) and his friends realize that they\u2019re the only ones who can stop Pennywise from hurting any other children.
