Out of the dark. <\/span>Christina on the Coast <\/span><\/i>star Christina Hall<\/strong><\/a> (n\u00e9e Haack) used Mother\u2019s Day<\/a> as a time to reflect on the past and opened up about the \u201cvery bad place\u201d she was in one year ago.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cCrazy how much life can change in a year,\u201d Christina, 39, shared via Instagram<\/a> on Sunday, May 14. \u201cGoing through an extremely unnecessary custody battle<\/a>, family issues, dealing with a health scare<\/a> \u2013 amongst other things,\u201d she added, referring to her custody war with ex-husband Ant Anstead<\/strong><\/a> over their son, Hudson.<\/span><\/p>\n She went on to tell a touching story about being \u201cvulnerable\u201d during the tumultuous time in her life and the \u201clife changing\u201d moment that turned it all around. The mother of three \u2013 who also shares daughter Taylor and son Brayden<\/a> with first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 recalled getting emotional after the owner of a rental property<\/a> where she and her family were staying left her an \u201camazing care package.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAt the time I was having the worst month so all of this meant SO much to me,\u201d she continued. \u201cI started crying when I saw it, and I didn\u2019t want to upset anyone so I quickly went to hide in the first room I saw (the laundry room). Surprisingly, the owner of the rental happened to be in there.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The former <\/span>Flip or Flop <\/span><\/i><\/a>star added, \u201cI broke down crying and told her what I was going through and how much her gesture meant to me.\u201d To Christina\u2019s surprise, the owner had been through a similar situation<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt felt so good to speak to someone who understood. When I think of this now it still makes my eyes water,\u201d she wrote. \u201cShortly after that things turned around and fell into place. \u2026 I know I\u2019ve made mistakes but I know what I\u2019ve done right \u2026 I know with all my heart my kids love me \u2026 and I know I\u2019m a good mom.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In April 2022, the <\/span>Wheelers Dealers <\/span><\/i>host, 44, filed a petition seeking full custody of their toddler<\/a> in Orange County, California, claiming that Christina only spent \u201cnine full days each month<\/a>\u201d with their son, per a filing obtained by TMZ<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhat Ant is doing deeply saddens me,\u201d the real estate investor told <\/span>Life & Style <\/span><\/i>at the time. \u201cIf this was really about Hudson, as he says, this should have been handled privately with a private judge or mediation, as myself and my attorney have suggested. I have had my share of ups and downs, but I am a good mom and I love my children<\/a> with all my heart and I will always protect them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The former couple reached an agreement in their custody dispute in November 2022. They will \u201ccontinue to have joint legal and joint physical custody<\/a>\u201d as originally agreed in June 2021, according to records obtained by <\/span>People<\/span><\/i><\/a> the following month.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
