The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are still riding the high from their major pay raises earlier this year \u2014 but they know there\u2019s still more work to be done.<\/p>\n

America\u2019s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders<\/em><\/a> star Reece Weaver<\/strong><\/a> was \u201creally proud of the outcome\u201d after fighting for more money, she told Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively at the Netflix Summer Break event hosted at Santa Monica Pier on Thursday, July 17.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know a lot of people really led that, but we all supported it. We all just wanted to not only do this for our team, but for all the women that came before us and \u2026 for just women in general,\u201d Reece, 23, told Us<\/em>. \u201cIt was just a blessing to be a part of and we\u2019re just super proud of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelly Villares<\/strong> agreed, noting that it was a \u201creally revolutionizing\u201d success for the dance industry overall.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re hoping to see improvements in the NFL cheer world as well,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Charly Barby<\/strong> said she is \u201creally proud\u201d of the \u201cextraordinary\u201d moves the \u201centire team\u201d was able to make.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> shared exclusive details last month that the cheer squad received a giant salary increase just before America\u2019s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders<\/em> season 2 premiered on Netflix.<\/p>\n

The show\u2019s first season, which took the world by storm in 2024, revealed that the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders reportedly made only around $500 per game<\/a> along with hourly wages for practices and some fees for public appearances and events.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a tough topic to start to have conversations [about],\u201d cheerleader Jada Mclean<\/strong> told Us<\/em> before the second season\u2019s June 18 premiere. \u201cBut we were pretty serious, as leaders, this was something that we really wanted to see a change happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
