The decision to cancel The Late Show With Stephen Colbert<\/em> is sending shockwaves through Hollywood \u2014 and late-night veterans like Jimmy Kimmel<\/strong><\/a> and Andy Cohen<\/strong><\/a> aren\u2019t holding back their feelings.<\/p>\n During the Thursday, July 17 taping of The Late Show<\/em>, Stephen Colbert<\/strong>, 61, confirmed to his audience that CBS plans to shut down the long-running late-night staple at the end of its 2025\u20132026 season.<\/p>\n \u201cBefore we start the show I want to let you know something that I found out just last night. Next year will be our last season, the network [CBS] will be ending The Late Show<\/em> in May,\u201d Colbert told the stunned audience, who booed in response.<\/p>\n \u201cI share your feelings. It\u2019s not just the end of our show but it\u2019s the end of The Late Show<\/em> on CBS. I\u2019m not being replaced. Reposting a clip of Colbert\u2019s remarks, he captioned it: \u201cLove you Stephen. F*** you and all your Sheldons CBS.\u201d<\/p>\n Bravo\u2019s Andy Cohen also voiced his disbelief while speaking to Deadline<\/em> at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s a sad day for late-night television,\u201d Cohen, 57, said. \u201cI think it\u2019s a sad day for CBS.
