From Gilmore Girls<\/em><\/a> to Schitt\u2019s Creek<\/em><\/a>, fan-favorite TV shows and movies have highlighted unforgettable pairs of moms and daughters through the years.<\/p>\n Perhaps one of the most iconic duos is Lorelai Gilmore and her daughter, Rory, portrayed by Lauren Graham<\/strong><\/a> and Alexis Bledel<\/strong><\/a>, respectively, for seven seasons between 2000 and 2007. The twosome returned for Netflix\u2019s 2016 revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life<\/em><\/a>, and it was like they\u2019d never left.<\/p>\n \u201cIf it all existed in a vacuum, I would play that character until my dying day,\u201d Graham told Deadline<\/em> in 2017.<\/p>\n Four years prior, the Zoey\u2019s Extraordinary Playlist<\/em> actress told fans in a Reddit AMA that she would always have a \u201cspecial bond\u201d<\/a> with her former onscreen daughter, who she helped guide through the ins and outs of filming TV.<\/p>\n While it might have seemed to viewers that the pair had known each other forever<\/a>, Graham admitted in 2013 that she and the Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/em> star hadn\u2019t crossed paths before.<\/p>\n \u201cWe never met until we started filming,\u201d she said during a book event at the time, per CNN. \u201cShe was brand new \u2014 had never filmed anything. There\u2019s a thing, especially on that show, where the camera moves [and] it\u2019s very complicated. You have to be talking, everything has to be exactly right. Then you have to land at a certain mark. She\u2019d never hit a mark before. And so I would put my arm around her and often be arm-in-arm with her.\u201d<\/p>\n When it came to their believable chemistry, Graham noted, \u201cIt\u2019s just one of those things that happened to work.\u201d<\/p>\n There may not be new Gilmore Girls<\/em> episodes on the way<\/a> anytime soon, but fans can find an equally entertaining mother-daughter relationship between Alexis and Moira Rose. The Schitt\u2019s Creek<\/em> characters go through plenty of ups and downs together, but their challenges only bring them closer.<\/p>\n Though the series came to an end in 2020, Emmy winner Annie Murphy<\/strong> would be \u201cover the moon\u201d<\/a> to bring Alexis back some day \u2014 and to reunite with her onscreen mom. \u201cJust to see Moira (Catherine O\u2019Hara<\/strong><\/a>) again, I would pay a lot of money to do that,\u201d she told Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively in May 2021.<\/p>\n
