17 July 2025<\/time>\n <\/p>\nRachel Brosnahan hired a witch to help her shed a travel “curse”.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nRachel Brosnahan enlisted the help of a witch<\/p>\n\nThe 35-year-old actress believed someone “petty” had jinxed her over a decade ago because her journeys are always stressful and filled with difficulty, so after DC studios co-head Peter Safran refused to travel with her on the Superman global press tour, she knew she needed to take action.<\/p>\n\nSpeaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rachel said: “I always make it where I’m trying to go, but it’s never not as stressful as humanly possible to get there. It’s the absolute worst.<\/p>\n\n“Nobody believes the curse, I should say, until they travel with me. And the number of times that somebody’s looked at me and been like, ‘Ma’am, I’m so sorry. I’ve just never seen this before’ is too many times…<\/p>\n\n“I was really worried, obviously, about this upcoming tour, and I got really desperate and I started asking people if anyone knew, like an energy healer or a past-life reader.”<\/p>\n\nRachel eventually contacted a witch and they spoke about her travel traumas before they “tackled the curse together.<\/p>\n\nShe said: “I called a witch and brought her to my house.<\/p>\n\n“She brought a wishing well and a wand, and she signed an NDA.”<\/p>\n\nAnd it seems the curse on the Marvelous Mrs Maisel star has now been lifted.<\/p>\n\nShe said: “I made it around the world, and I’m here, and I believe in witches and curses now.”<\/p>\n\nRachel first experienced difficulties when flying into Cannes from New Mexico with a 36-hour window to promote a movie, and though she began driving on a sunny day, the journey was ultimately waylaid by an “apocalyptic snowstorm”.<\/p>\n\nAnd her audition to play Lois Lane was another “good example of the curse” in motion.<\/p>\n\nShe had been working on Broadway in New York but had to fly to Los Angeles for the try out.<\/p>\n\nAfter getting to the airport, she discovered her 6am flight had been delayed.<\/p>\n\nshe added: “And I just had a bad feeling about it, because [of the] curse. And so I went to the gate agent … I was like, ‘Level with me. Is this flight going to take off?’ I had a bad feeling. And she was like, ‘No, the flight’s getting cancelled.’ “<\/p>\n\nRachel attempted to get on another flight from the other side of the airport but while trying to buy a ticket, it sold out.<\/p>\n\nShe continued: “So I’m now running back in the other direction because the next flight that takes off is back on the airline where I came from. So I’m in the security line again. And as I’m in the security line booking this flight, the flight gets delayed again. So at this point, I’m running back the other way…<\/p>\n\n“It was a very long, exercise-filled morning running back and forth through JFK.”<\/p>\n\nFortunately, Rachel managed to get a flight which left her just 90 minutes late for her audition.<\/p>\n\nShe said: “I made it on by the skin of my teeth.<\/p>\n\n“Honestly, I feel like the chaos that came with me after what I’d been through that morning must have felt so Lois Lane-coded or something.
