Ren\u00e9e Ballard first appeared on Bosch: Legacy<\/em> when she tracked down Bosch (Titus Welliver<\/strong><\/a>) seeking information about one of her LAPD cases. Maggie Q instantly made an impression onscreen as a determined, powerful detective fiercely committed to justice.<\/p>\n

Just like the original Bosch<\/em> series, Ballard<\/em> is based on a series of detective novels by Michael Connelly<\/strong>. This spinoff shows that Amazon is building out the Bosch<\/em> interconnected universe, promising more complex mysteries and storytelling ahead. (In Connelly\u2019s novels, characters routinely pop in and out of each other\u2019s stories.)<\/p>\n
