911 audio from the fatal golf cart accident involving NFL legend John Elway<\/strong> and his friend Jeff Sperbeck<\/strong> gave a glimpse into the scene\u2019s chaotic aftermath.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the call, obtained by TMZ<\/i><\/a>, Elway, 65, told the dispatcher, \u201cWe were on a golf cart and he fell off the golf cart.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In the heavily-redacted call, Elway was asked if the golf cart \u201cran into anything.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNo, he fell off the golf cart,\u201d Elway said. \u201cHe was on the back and he fell off the golf cart.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Elway told the dispatcher that no chemicals or other hazards were involved in the accident.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Unknown individuals can be heard pleading with Sperbeck in the background. \u201cJeff, Jeff,\u201d a male voice said, while a woman said, \u201cCome on, baby.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Sperbeck\u2019s wife, Cori Sperbeck<\/strong>, was also riding on the golf cart at the time of the crash.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As the dispatcher attempted to give Elway instructions to assist Sperbeck\u2019s breathing, he told the NFL Hall of Famer not to move Sperbeck\u2019s body for fear of causing any additional harm or bodily injury.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a rush of commotion, an unknown man took the phone from Elway and told the dispatcher that there was \u201ca medic on scene.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur paramedics and fire engines have been dispatched to the location,\u201d the dispatcher told the man. \u201cHelp is on the way. If he gets worse in any way, call us back immediately for further instructions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Sperbeck fell off a golf cart driven by Elway in La Quinta, California, on April 26<\/a>. He sustained blunt force trauma to his head and was pronounced dead at a local hospital on April 30.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Riverside County Sheriff\u2019s Office closed their investigation into the accident<\/a> on Monday, July 14, calling it \u201ca tragic accident with no evidence of criminal activity or intent.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

No criminal charges will be filed against Elway or any other party involved in the incident.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Riverside Sheriff Chad Bianco<\/strong> had previously stated that there were no signs Elway was intoxicated at the time of the accident, and there was no evidence the golf cart had malfunctioned.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
