The McBee Dynasty<\/em> brothers vowed to show \u201cthe good, the bad, the ugly\u201d on their reality show<\/a> \u2014 including their unfiltered reactions to dad Steve McBee<\/strong>\u2019s FBI investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really, really tough because that is constantly at the forefront of your mind, no matter what you\u2019re doing,\u201d eldest son Steven McBee Jr.<\/strong><\/a> exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> of his dad\u2019s legal troubles. \u201cEven when I\u2019m lying in bed at night, or even if I\u2019m busy hanging out with my brothers out at a restaurant, you\u2019re always thinking about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Steven, the CEO of McBee Farm & Cattle<\/a>, noted that fans will get to see how each brother learned about their dad\u2019s possible jail time after he kept it a secret for some time. The second oldest brother, Jesse McBee<\/strong>, for example, heard about the issue on camera.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a shell shock just seeing the weight that Steven had been [dealing with],\u201d Jesse exclusively told Us<\/em> on Thursday, July 11. \u201cIt made a lot of things make a lot more sense, just the way that Steven was stressed out and we were trying to figure out why we thought we knew all of his stresses, and obviously he was holding that in and bearing that weight on his shoulders.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jesse explained, \u201cIt was a shell shock, and I think you\u2019ll probably see that on camera, just how surprised Cole [McBee]<\/strong> and I were. After the cameras wrapped on season 1 of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys<\/em>, drama unfolded behind the scenes. Steve pleaded guilty to a multimillion-dollar fraud<\/a> scam in November 2024 related to crop insurance.<\/p>\n

Steve, who started McBee Farms in the \u201890s, was charged with one count of federal crop insurance fraud. He allegedly acquired insurance benefits on his crops that he wasn\u2019t authorized to receive.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tPEACOCK The McBee Dynasty star Steven \u201cSteve\u201d McBee has pleaded guilty to a multimillion-dollar fraud scam using federal crop insurance. According to a November 5 press release from the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office Western District of Missouri, McBee, 52, was charged with one count of federal crop insurance fraud. The McBee Farming Operations owner allegedly received [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Steve allegedly made a false report to insurance provider Rain and Hill in 2018, which led to him receiving more than $2.6 million in federal crop insurance benefits. The Department of Justice claimed that Steve committed additional fraud in 2019 and 2020 for not disclosing that he chose to double crop in his soybean farms with wheat.<\/p>\n

According to season 2 of the Bravo series, Steve left the farm in the hands of his four sons \u2014 with Steven in charge alongside Steve\u2019s ex-girlfriend and CFO and COO Galyna Saltkosvska<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 while dealing with the scandal off camera. However, during the Monday, July 14, episode, Steven revealed that he was the only son who knew their dad was under investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dad is under FBI investigation, and you are the only one, and my mom that even knows this is going on. So, this has to stay between us,\u201d Steven told Galyna during the episode<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Steven later told the cameras, \u201cThis FBI investigation is wearing on my dad. He didn\u2019t want anything with his involvement affect[ing] any of us boys. My brothers don\u2019t even know about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Steve, for his part, is awaiting his sentencing after being ordered to pay restitution in November 2024. The exact amount that he owes will be determined in court later this year, as will his possible prison sentence \u2014 which could be up to 30 years.<\/p>\n

As the McBees wait to see what\u2019s next for their dad, Steven and Jesse told Us<\/em> they are focusing on the good times. One of their recent highs is the addition of two grandchildren: Jesse\u2019s daughter, Summer, who was born in April, and Cole\u2019s daughter, Blair, born in December 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve leaned into family. We take it day by day,\u201d Steven told Us<\/em> of their current mindset. \u201cThe situation is still ongoing. We\u2019re hoping to have it wrapped up and have some finality to it before the end of the year. That\u2019s the goal, just so we can move on and say, \u2018OK, we\u2019ve got this figured out. We can start life again now.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Steven noted they\u2019ve become \u201ccloser\u201d as a family because of the legal ordeal, confirming that having babies around has been a blessing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe hard part about it is it\u2019s so unknown. We don\u2019t know what it\u2019s going to look like, so we\u2019re preparing,\u201d Steven explained. \u201cWe\u2019re eating dinner together as a family with my dad, including my mom driving up to the farm three to four nights a week, enjoying the time with the grand babies. Just really cherishing time as a family because we don\u2019t know what it\u2019s going to look like afterwards.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jesse added that their father was \u201ca huge family guy\u201d before his legal woes, but added that his commitment to his family has only grown during this tumultuous time.<\/p>\n
