A New York judge has granted Blake Lively<\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u2019s motion for a protective order ahead of her scheduled deposition.<\/p>\n

According to the ruling<\/span><\/a> obtained by Deadline<\/i><\/span><\/a> on Monday, July 14, the actress, 37, may choose the location of her deposition scheduled for Thursday, July 17.<\/p>\n

The ruling stated, \u201cLively will make arrangements for [Justin Baldoni<\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u2019s legal team] to have a dedicated computer and the ability to print and copy documents in the space chosen by Lively.\u201d<\/p>\n

Additionally, Baldoni\u2019s team must notify Lively\u2019s side of exactly who will attend the deposition by midday on Tuesday, July 15.<\/p>\n

So we would, of course, expect her to be a witness [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Us Weekly<\/i> has reached out to Baldoni, 41, and Lively\u2019s teams for comment.<\/p>\n

Prior to the ruling, Baldoni\u2019s legal team sent a letter to the judge, calling Lively\u2019s request an attempt to use her \u201ccelebrity status\u201d to dictate and control the deposition \u201cat a location of her choosing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLively is a plaintiff who has hurled serious allegations of misconduct against the Wayfarer Parties,\u201d the letter obtained by Entertainment Weekly<\/i><\/span><\/a> continued. \u201cLike all defendants, the Wayfarer Parties are entitled to depose Lively to develop evidence crucial to their defense. They are also entitled to choose the location of the deposition, which they did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lively\u2019s attorney, however, alleged that Baldoni\u2019s legal team did not address privacy and safety concerns ahead of the deposition. Lively\u2019s team cited previous comments made by Baldoni\u2019s attorney, Bryan Freedman<\/strong>, in the press.<\/p>\n

During one instance, Freedman suggested Lively could be deposed at a major New York City venue like Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince Ms. Lively is open to testifying, let\u2019s make it count,\u201d he told People<\/i><\/span><\/a> in May. \u201cHold the deposition at MSG, sell tickets or stream it, and donate every dollar to organizations helping victims of domestic abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lively and Baldoni\u2019s legal drama<\/span><\/a> began in December 2024, when the actress accused her It Ends With Us<\/i><\/span><\/a> costar and director of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment and purposefully creating a smear campaign against her.<\/p>\n
