Rick Springfield<\/strong><\/a> is putting Craig Melvin<\/strong><\/a> on blast!<\/p>\n On Wednesday (July 9), the 75-year-old rocker appeared on 3rd Hour of Today<\/strong><\/a><\/em> where he chatted with Craig<\/strong>, 46, and fellow co-stars Al Roker<\/strong><\/a> and Jill Martin<\/strong><\/a> about his iconic track \u201cJessie\u2019s Girl.\u201d<\/p>\n While answering a question, Rick<\/strong> got distracted when Craig<\/strong> yawned.<\/p>\n \u201cAm I boring you?\u201d Rick<\/strong> said, before jokingly getting up to walk away before sitting back down with a smile.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>The camera then panned to Craig<\/strong>, who was visibly embarrassed.<\/p>\n \u201cNot at all, Rick,\u201d Craig<\/strong> responded through a cough. \u201cI apologize.\u201d<\/p>\n Rick<\/strong>, Al<\/strong>, and Jill<\/strong> all started laughing as Craig<\/strong> still looked embarrassed.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s early, don\u2019t worry about it,\u201d Rick<\/strong> quipped. \u201cI\u2019ll yawn, too.\u201d <\/p>\n As everyone continued laughing, Craig<\/strong> insisted, \u201cIt was a cough.\u201d<\/p>\n Rick<\/strong> and the anchors all had a blast throughout the rest of the interview as they all joked and laughed together. At one point, the anchors presented the grandfather-to-be with a Today<\/em> onesie to give his future grandchild.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a free plug,\u201d Rick<\/strong> said when he was given the onesie.<\/p>\n When asked what his grandpa name will be, Rick<\/strong> joked, \u201cI\u2019m thinking \u2018Your Excellency,\u2019 \u2018Caesar,\u2019 the \u2018Right Honorable Mr. Springfield.\u2019 Easy stuff for a kid to pronounce.\u201d <\/p>\n Towards the end of the interview, Craig <\/strong>declared, \u201cRick Springfield, I had no idea you were so funny, by the way.
