It was more like, \u2018I want to marry you. Let\u2019s just do it,\u2019\u201d Rita <\/strong>told Glamour UK<\/a><\/em> about when Taika <\/strong>popped the question. <\/p>\n She knew right away that they didn\u2019t need a big affair of a wedding. <\/p>\n \u201cSome women like to feel that real special attention that day. And everyone\u2019s different. And for me \u2013 I think with my job, it is all\u2026 it\u2019s very attention driven \u2013 I wanted to keep it private because my life and my career aren\u2019t,\u201d she explained. <\/p>\n Instead, they organized it \u201cin two to three days\u201d and had a very exclusive guestlist. <\/p>\n \u201cHis kids [Taika <\/strong>has two daughters from a previous marriage] were there and I really wanted them to be a part of it. It was either then or we had to wait for ages. I didn\u2019t want to do it without my stepkids there. So, we just figured it out and we did it. And it was perfect,\u201d she recalled. \u201cMy sister was there, which was amazing for me. And he had his girls there, which was amazing for him. It was a dream. My parents were on Zoom.\u201d<\/p>\n She didn\u2019t tell her friends until after the fact. \u201cNo one knew. No one was surprised. They were like, \u2018I\u2019m so happy for you.
