Ariana Madix<\/strong><\/a> fought back tears while responding to Love Island USA<\/em><\/a> season 7\u2019s numerous controversies.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a really tough season for a lot of reasons,\u201d Ariana, 40, admitted during an emotional interview with Maura Higgins<\/strong> on Love Island USA: Aftersun<\/em> on Sunday, July 12.<\/p>\n

Love Island USA<\/em> has been beset with scandals throughout its current season, including the removal of islanders Yulissa Escobar<\/strong><\/a> and Cierra Ortega<\/strong><\/a> over resurfaced offensive comments. (Yulissa was removed from the Love Island USA<\/em> villa on day three in June, while Cierra was sent home on July 6. Both have publicly apologized for their past conduct.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThe islanders who were eliminated, there\u2019s been a lot of stuff that\u2019s just been crazy,\u201d Ariana acknowledged. \u201cI just want them to know, and any islander who has also left the villa this point, I just want them all to know how much I genuinely really love them and appreciate them for putting themselves out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

She went on, \u201c[They] gas me up when I come in [to the villa] because I always hope that I get to bring good news but sometimes I\u2019m the Glam Reaper.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Maura assured the Love Island USA<\/em> host that it\u2019s obvious that the islanders \u201cabsolutely adore\u201d her, Ariana replied: \u201cThe feeling is mutual.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier on Saturday, Love Island USA<\/em> released a new statement<\/a>\u00a0via Instagram to ask fans to show \u201crespect and kindness\u201d to Ariana and all of this year\u2019s islanders ahead of the finale<\/a> on Sunday, July 13.<\/p>\n

The Love Island USA<\/em> statement concluded, \u201cLove Island<\/em> exists because of the real people who share their search for love with the world. Our host [Ariana] and all islanders deserve respect and kindness for opening their hearts to the experience and viewers everywhere. As this season comes to a close, let\u2019s show them our love and support.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ariana previously encouraged Love Island<\/em> viewers to be more compassionate<\/a> on social media during an interview on Aftersun<\/em> on July 6.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love the passion of the audience, but sometimes it\u2019s like, \u2018Give them a second to resolve their argument before you just hop online and start being absolutely atrocious to these Islanders\u2019,\u201d the Love Island USA<\/em> show host argued.<\/p>\n

Ariana admitted she was frustrated to have to remind the Love Island US<\/em>A audience that it was never OK to harass islanders via social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt blows my mind that again I have to say not to harass them on the internet,\u201d she complained to host Sophie Monk<\/strong>. \u201cI don\u2019t understand why week after week we have to keep saying, \u2018Don\u2019t do that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
