Love Island USA<\/em><\/a> is encouraging viewers to show host Ariana Madix<\/strong><\/a> and all of this year\u2019s islanders \u201ckindness and respect\u201d ahead of the season 7 finale<\/a> scheduled to air on Sunday, July 13.<\/p>\n

The Peacock dating competition has navigated its share of controversy throughout its seventh season, including islanders Cierra Ortega<\/strong> and Yulissa Escobar<\/strong> being removed from the villa due to recently resurfaced offensive social media posts.<\/p>\n

In light of the contentious online conversation surrounding the show, Love Island<\/em> released a new statement via Instagram<\/a> on Saturday, July 12, requesting positive vibes from fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cHuge thanks to everyone who has joined us for Love Island USA<\/em> season 7,\u201d the statement began. \u201cWe can\u2019t wait to celebrate our incredible islanders in tomorrow night\u2019s finale.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement went on, \u201cLove Island<\/em> exists because of the real people who share their search for love with the world. Our host [Ariana] and all islanders deserve respect and kindness for opening their hearts to the experience and viewers everywhere. As this season comes to a close, let\u2019s show them our love and support.\u201d<\/p>\n

Love Island<\/em> previously aired a direct appeal<\/a> to viewers during the June 24 episode, in an attempt to stop \u201charassment\u201d of islanders.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe keyword in Love Island<\/em> is \u2026 love. We love our fans. We love our islanders,\u201d the graphic read. \u201cWe don\u2019t love cyberbullying, harassment or hate.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yulissa<\/em> was removed<\/a> from Love Island USA<\/em> on the third day of filming in June after clips of her using racial slurs on a podcast circulated online. She later publicly apologized for saying \u201ca word that I should have not said.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tCierra Ortega\u2018s friends broke their silence regarding her resurfaced racist post just days before she left Love Island USA. During the Sunday, July 6, episode of the Peacock series, narrator Iain Stirling revealed that Cierra \u201cleft the villa due to a personal situation,\u201d leaving partner Nic Vansteenberghe \u201cofficially single.\u201d This came as a surprise to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI wish I would have never said that. It is what it is. I can\u2019t go back in time. I am sorry that I said that word,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

While there was only a brief on-air mention from Love Island USA<\/em> narrator Iain Stirling<\/strong> about Yulissa leaving the villa, she later disputed fan theories<\/a> that she\u2019d been \u201cdragged out in the dark.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI walked out in broad daylight, head high, lashes on,\u201d Yulissa insisted via TikTok.<\/p>\n

More controversy followed when a fan shared one of islander Cierra\u2019s past social media posts where she\u2019d used a racial slur. Prior to Cierra being removed from the villa on July 6, her parents accused angry fans of going \u201cfar beyond\u201d seeking accountability<\/a> by sending her family \u201cthreats\u201d and \u201ccruel messages.\u201d<\/p>\n
