Kelly Clarkson<\/strong><\/a> kicked off her Las Vegas residency with an apology to her fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cMan, I\u2019m so sorry if some of y\u2019all had [tickets to] last weekend\u2019s shows,\u201d Clarkson, 43, said during her Friday, July 11, concert, per social media footage<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m so sorry. We can\u2019t help our bodies sometimes, and that happens, but thank you for showing up. We\u2019re so excited.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Clarkson, her latest Sin City production<\/a> is her favorite tour she\u2019s ever done.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love being in the studio, and that\u2019s where this entire idea came from,\u201d she said of the intimate stage setup. \u201c[I\u2019ll] give you a little sneak peek of what we do, and there\u2019s nothing like getting in the studio with a bunch of musicians and just vibing with each other. You\u2019re feeding off [everyone\u2019s] different emotional state, and it\u2019s just really cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelly Clarkson\u2018s upcoming album Chemistry will offer a rare glimpse into her divorce from Brandon Blackstock \u2014 but fans shouldn\u2019t expect to hear the whole story. The singer, 41, revealed during an interview with Entertainment Weekly on Monday, May 8, that certain songs were cut for being \u201ctoo truth-telling\u201d about [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Clarkson announced hours before her scheduled July 4 performance that her latest Vegas residency would be postponed<\/a> another week.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been working 24\/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and\u00a0extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fan,\u201d she wrote in a statement. \u201cI am beyond grateful that you always show up for me, and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow\u2019s opening at Caesars. The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI want the shows to be perfect for y\u2019all, and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve. The show is truly incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, Clarkson praised her fellow \u201coutstanding\u201d musicians in the rehearsal studio.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want us all to start out strong,\u201d she concluded earlier this month. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to be back next weekend and show y\u2019all what we\u2019ve been working on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clarkson kicked off her Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions \u2013 The Las Vegas Residency <\/i>on Friday. She will perform 17 more times, with her residency ending on November 15.<\/p>\n
