Adam Levine doesn’t want more tattoos<\/p>\n
The Maroon 5 singer has extensive body art but admitted his last session, a refresh on his left arm sleeve, was likely to be his last because he has “softened” more as he’s got older.<\/p>\n
Describing the process of getting inked as “fun” but “painful”, he told Today.com: \u201cI covered up my sleeve with another sleeve. Who does that? What is wrong with me? Psychotic.<\/p>\n
“It really hurt. I\u2019m kind of done with the pain, I\u2019ve decided \u2026 now, I\u2019ve softened.<\/p>\n
“Now, when I get a tattoo, I\u2019m like, \u2018This hurts so badly.\u2019 Like, \u2018What\u2019s wrong?\u2019 We\u2019re done.”<\/p>\n
\nThe 46-year-old star also admitted he is “running out of room” on his body for more tattoos and he always “promised” he wouldn’t get his face inked.<\/p>\n
\nThe Moves Like Jagger hitmaker – who has three children with wife Behati Prinsloo – finds it hard to pick out a favourite inking.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “No, there’s too many. It’s too overwhelming…<\/p>\n
\n“I like them all.”<\/p>\n
\nBut he ultimately concluded he likes his hand tattoos, which feature the words ‘true love’ spelled out across eight of his fingers.<\/p>\n
\nHowever, back in 2013, Adam insisted he wouldn’t get any body art on his hands because they are “sacred”.<\/p>\n
\nHe told People magazine: “I don’t do below the waist. You can’t do the hands, that’s sacred too, that’s what you make things with, I’m tied to my hands. I just can’t do hands.”<\/p>\n
\nAnd the Sugar singer’s first ever tattoo was a dove on his left bicep.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “I was 21. It was five days after 9\/11. I felt this need to say something with this peaceful thing on my body.”<\/p>\n
\nAdam recently spoke of why he agreed to return for season 27 of The Voice after departing his role as a coach during season 16.<\/p>\n
\nHe told reporters: “I honestly feel like the stars aligned. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt was one of those moments where we started talking about it and it felt right… and it hadn\u2019t felt right until now.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAdam, who had spent nearly nine years on the show, admitted he needed a break from the relentless schedule that came with the job.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cDoing it for so long, so consistently… you can definitely start to get burnt. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI started to feel like I was kind of getting away from things that matter to me the most, like making music and playing music.\u201d<\/p>\n
