M. Stuart<\/strong>, who served in 1953 as the volunteer president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n The Hollywood Walk of Fame was proposed to \u201cmaintain the glory of a community whose name means glamour and excitement in the four corners of the world.\u201d <\/p>\n After the first stars were permanently installed in 1960, thousands more have been added, honoring actors, musicians, athletes, fictional characters, and even more iconic figures from the arts and entertainment world.<\/p>\n According to the official website<\/a>, an average of two stars are added to the Walk on a monthly basis.
