The 46-year-old actress is in a relationship with investor Austin Sosa, and PEOPLE has confirmed that the pair is set to tie the knot.<\/p>\n
A source told the outlet: “She is very close with his family and was staying with his parents after she moved out of her Los Angeles apartment earlier this year.”<\/p>\n
A representative for the Hart of Dixie star – who was initially married to Kyle Newman from 2007 until 2023 and has James, 11, as well as nine-year-old Leo with him – later confirmed the news but also reminded fans that she would prefer privacy at this time.<\/p>\n
The rep said: “Jaime is especially happy to share this moment with her children, who have a loving bond with Austin and his family,” her rep said. “As always, her sons remain her top priority, and she kindly asks for privacy as they move forward together with love and gratitude.”<\/p>\n
\nAfter losing sole physical custody of her children, Jaime admitted that the whole battle had been “scary” for her and she didn’t think about any of that when she first tied the knot. <\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to Jana Kramer on her Whine Down podcast, she said: “It’s terrifying, when to be able to be free means that you have to pay a very extreme price, and I’m not just talking about financially.<\/p>\n
\n“It’s very upsetting, and I will do everything in my power to change this system, and it’s not a will. I’m going to. There’s no price to pay for freedom.”<\/p>\n
\nMy duty as a mother is to protect my children. And that’s all that matters to me. This is scary.”<\/p>\n
\n“I just didn’t know when I got married at a young age. I just didn’t know that that the world works like this. I didn’t know that legal systems work like this.<\/p>\n
\n“And not to sound like some kind of neophyte, but I thought that, you know, when you choose to love someone, then you love that person. You build a family with them, and, you trust them.”<\/p>\n
