Reece Weaver<\/strong><\/a> has been a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader since 2023, and despite fitting into the iconic uniform year after year she has body image struggles<\/a> like anyone else.<\/p>\n

The America\u2019s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders<\/em><\/a> star revealed that her ups and downs with how she feels regarding her looks began as a child.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn middle school I really started to struggle with body image,\u201d Weaver explained on the Tuesday, July 8, episode of the \u201cHappy and Healthy<\/a>\u201d podcast. \u201cI mean constantly as a dancer, you\u2019re being raised up, you\u2019re constantly looking at yourself in the mirror. As a 3-year-old you\u2019re looking at yourself in a mirror.\u201d<\/p>\n

The professional cheerleader<\/a> confessed, \u201cIt\u2019s really easy to do in a broken world to look around you and go, \u2018Oh, she\u2019s this. She has this better strength, [that] I don\u2019t. It\u2019s my weakness. I would love to have her body, and I don\u2019t look like that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJessie James Decker has been known to confront body-shamers over the years, but her confidence didn\u2019t come easily. The 35-year-old exclusively opened up about her relationship with her body in the new issue of Us Weekly, confessing that having children caused some major changes. (She shares Vivianne, 9, Eric Jr., 7, and Forrest, 5, with [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

To overcome those inner demons, Weaver said she had to \u201cpress into\u201d her Christian faith.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to believe in what the world thinks and says I am. I am going to believe in what Jesus tells me,\u201d she shared. \u201cI still struggle to this day, but I also know that my comfort comes from him and only him. His opinion is the one that matters most.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked whether her body image struggles \u201clinger\u201d while being part of DCC<\/a>, Weaver said it\u2019s hard to escape them, but her teammates help her to block out the self-deprecating\u00a0noise.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re looking around a team of 36 beautiful, smart, talented, incredible women<\/a> it is such a blessing, but it can be intimidating,\u201d Weaver explained. \u201cWe have such a strong sisterhood that we all know deep down we\u2019re experiencing that so we press into each other and really rely on each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

Weaver, who was also a cheerleader at the University of Alabama, admitted that she has stumbled at times when thinking about her body in comparison to others.<\/p>\n

\u201cI still struggle with this topic in general because we live in a fallen world. That\u2019s never going to go away,\u201d she told podcast host Jeanine Amapola<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now that she is a happily married woman and a public figure thanks to her time on DCC, Weaver said she has a message for other girls who struggle with the same intrusive thoughts.\u00a0(Weaver married Will Allman<\/strong><\/a> after her rookie season in April 2024.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI think one of the biggest pieces of advice I can give [is] when I think about younger Reece, younger Reece would want an ideal, realistic body. I feel like growing up I didn\u2019t really have that,\u201d Weaver recalled. \u201cI felt like the era that I was in was, \u2018Oh, like, if you want to be this you have to be tiny and a double zero\u2019 and all these requirements.\u201d<\/p>\n

Weaver noted she would \u201cnever\u201d want her future daughter to experience those insecurities and unrealistic markers.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I feel like the more I can think about living a healthy lifestyle<\/a> not just physically, but emotionally, mentally, spiritually,\u201d she continued. \u201cI feel like those are what matters most.\u201d<\/p>\n
