When I first heard the news about Jessie J<\/a>\u2019s cancer, my heart just sank a little.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It was devastating to hear that Jessie J, a true powerhouse with a voice that can give you goosebumps and lyrics that just get you, was battling breast cancer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And with her taking a step back from music despite the announcement of a successful operation, let\u2019s take a look or listen to some of her iconic songs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A \u2018Cornish\u2019 Icon<\/h2>\n

Jessie J<\/a>, Cornish to her fans, has left a mark on British pop from day one.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Can anyone remember “Do It Like a Dude”?\u00a0<\/p>\n

The black bob, oversized hoops and red lipstick were\u00a02010s club\u00a0attire courtesy of Jessie J.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Then she released “Price Tag,” a global anthem that made anyone who listened stop and think about what really matters.<\/p>\n

And then came “Domino” – another pop classic that shook the airwaves.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The East London singer even teamed up with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj for “Bang Bang,” proving she could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the best of them and absolutely steal the show.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But then, it wasn’t just about the big hits; she also has songs like “Nobody’s Perfect” and “Who You Are” where she showcases her raw honesty and vulnerability, making her a voice for anyone who’s ever felt a little out of place.<\/p>\n

Jessie strikes a chord when it comes to her singing ability.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While a great performer, she is also a songwriter behind some of the best party anthems, like Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus.<\/p>\n

On 1the 5th of June, to be precise, Jessie J stood centre stage at Capital’s Summertime Ball, to make an incredibly emotional announcement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To a crowd of 75,000 people, the British artist said that it would be her “last show before she\u00a0 goes to beat breast cancer.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Brit Award winner has been so open about her previous health struggles, from Meniere’s disease to heartbreaking miscarriage, and now breast cancer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her transparency says a lot about her resilience and never-dying spirit.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Music fans will definitely miss her energetic stage presence, but knowing she’s focusing entirely on her recovery is the only thing that matters right now.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We are all rooting for her, sending every ounce of positive energy her way.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Because if anyone can “Throw Hands” at cancer and come out swinging, it’s Jessie J.<\/p>\n
