Serena Page<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about the upcoming Love Island USA<\/strong><\/a><\/em> spinoff series Love Island: Beyond the Villa<\/strong><\/a><\/em>!<\/p>\n The 25-year-old season six star is reuniting on screen with several of her castmates for the spinoff, following their lives outside of the villa as they \u201cnavigate new careers, evolving friendships, newfound fame and complex relationships outside of the Love Island<\/em> villa.\u201d<\/p>\n In a new interview ahead of the show\u2019s premiere, Serena<\/strong> opened up about their decision to return for the spinoff, turning it down at first, the family dynamics and why her boyfriend Kordell Beckham<\/strong><\/a> is only featured in the show as a guest star. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAt [first] he was going to do it with me. I had fully confirmed, signed the contracts and everything, and then he got booked<\/a>,\u201d she told Teen Vogue<\/a><\/em>. \u201cI was very proud of him, but I was sad and it made me very anxious about filming because I was like, \u2018Damn, I\u2019m going to be alone.\u2019 Granted, I have my girls, Leah [Kateb]<\/strong><\/a> and JaNa [Craig]<\/strong><\/a>, but their men were on the show doing it with them. There were a lot of times where I was like, \u2018Damn, I don\u2019t know. We\u2019re supposed to be navigating our relationship, but you\u2019re about to be in a whole different state. What am I going to do?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe are all a family,\u201d Serena<\/strong> added. \u201cAt the end of the day, you fight with your family, you argue with your family. You might have fallen out for a year or so, but we all went through that experience together that nobody else will understand. I think there will always be a level of love in our hearts for each other no matter what. I feel like you can tell there\u2019s always love there.\u201d<\/p>\n Serena<\/strong> also shared that she and her PPG girls – Leah <\/strong>and JaNa<\/strong> \u2013 had a sit down to talk about the spinoff, because doing Love Island USA<\/em> was \u201ca lot.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cIt was a lot for everyone with the amount of eyes and opinions on us, the amount of think pieces. So we were like, \u2018Do we want to go through that again? Is that something that we want to put ourselves through mentally?\u2019 It was a no for a long time,\u201d she reveals. \u201cAnd then the more conversations we had about it and the more we talked about the reason why we\u2019re here, what our supporters want to see, things of that nature, we were like, \u2018You know what? Let\u2019s suck it up. It is what it is. Let\u2019s try it out, just like we tried it out last summer. If we hate it, we\u2019re never doing it again.\u201d<\/p>\n Love Island: Beyond the Villa<\/em> is set to premiere THIS upcoming Sunday (July 13) at 9pm ET on Peacock, with new episodes airing every Thursday following the premiere.<\/p>\n
