Sinners<\/em> is one of the most buzz-worthy movies of 2025, courtesy of the film\u2019s incredibly talented cast and alluring story that perfectly combines elements of history and horror. Fans are hoping for a sequel to director Ryan Coogler<\/strong>\u2019s masterpiece, which stars Michael B. Jordan<\/strong><\/a> as the Smokestack Twins.<\/p>\n

Hailee Steinfeld<\/strong>, Miles Caton<\/strong>, Jack O\u2019Connell<\/strong> and Wunmi Mosaku<\/strong> round out the main cast of the vampire drama. The film depicts the story of the Smokestack Twins as they open a juke joint in Mississippi and ultimately come face to face with vampires who force them to resort to dramatic survival tactics.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never think about that,\u201d he told EBONY<\/em><\/a> in April 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been in a space of making franchise films for a bit, so I wanted to get away from that,\u201d the director added. \u201cI was looking forward to working on a film that felt original and personal to me and had an appetite for delivering something to audiences that was original and unique.\u201d<\/p>\n

Coogler is the man responsible for two great film franchises, Black Panther<\/em> and Creed<\/em>, both of which Jordan was also a part of. When it came to Sinners, Coogler intended on there only being one stand-alone movie.<\/p>\n
