Jessie J has delivered a positive update<\/p>\n
The 37-year-old pop star has taken to social media to share a positive health update amid her ongoing cancer battle.<\/p>\n
In a video posted on Instagram, Sky – Jessie’s two-year-old son – says: “Mummy is going to be OK.”<\/p>\n
Jessie captioned the video: “And\u2026I AM OK<\/p>\n
“Results = I have NO cancer spread [tears emojis]<\/p>\n
\n“Happy tears are real [tears emojis]<\/p>\n
\n“Thank YOU for the prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy and all the positive energy. [crying emoji] (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nJessie then provided some context to her son’s video message.<\/p>\n
\nShe explained: “This video is from the night before my surgery . We called it baby boy. You are my biggest ray of light and with you in my life the darkness will never win. [clouds and sunshine emojis] <\/p>\n
\n“Lots of healing to go and one more surgery to make these cousins look more like sisters. But for now it\u2019s gratitude time and I am changing my name to The LopJess monster (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nJessie first shared news of her cancer diagnosis via an Instagram post on June 3.<\/p>\n
\nThe chart-topping pop star admitted at the time that she’d been “going back and forth” over whether to share the news with the public.<\/p>\n
\nShe said in a video message: “I want to share it with my fans and the people that care about me, and also I’m a sharer. I’ve always shared everything that I go through in my life. Before No Secrets came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer.<\/p>\n
\n“I’m highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word early. I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period.”<\/p>\n
\nJessie confessed at the time that she was still trying to process the news herself. However, she ultimately felt it was important that she shared the news with her fans.<\/p>\n
\nThe Price Tag hitmaker said: “I’m not processing it because I’m working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories.”<\/p>\n
