Kelly Clarkson<\/a> is a beloved talk show host known by fans for being fun<\/a> and down to earth \u2014 but according to former employees who worked behind the scenes on The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/em><\/a>, the \u201cSince U Been Gone\u201d singer has \u201cno clue\u201d how toxic the production environment actually is.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p> \u201cNBC is protecting the show because it\u2019s their new money maker<\/a>,\u201d a source who used to work for the hit chat fest spilled to an outlet, further clarifying that the network and the show\u2019s executive producer are actively keeping how \u201cunhappy her staff is\u201d from Clarkson.<\/p>\n A second staffer shared, \u201cI remember<\/a> going up on the roof of the stage to cry, being like, \u2018Oh, my gosh, what am I doing? Why am I putting myself through this?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p> Staff members who used to be work on the show<\/a> called it \u201ctraumatizing to their mental health\u201d and shockingly revealed that their salaries were so low that they were forced to take other jobs, including working as dog walkers, delivery drivers and babysitters to help pay the bills on their off hours.<\/p>\n The ex employees elaborated that they had gone to the HR department with their struggles<\/a>, but they didn\u2019t receive any help. They also pointed the finger at executive producer, Alex Duda<\/strong>, who allegedly doesn\u2019t allow the \u201cBecause of You\u201d singer<\/a> to hear about any of her staffers\u2019 complaints.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p> \u201cKelly is fantastic<\/a>. She is a person who never treats anyone with anything but dignity and is incredibly appreciative<\/a>,\u201d one ex employee said.<\/p>\n \u201cI would be shocked if she knew.
