{"id":178536,"date":"2025-07-03T19:10:07","date_gmt":"2025-07-03T19:10:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/03\/katie-thurston-my-oncologist-never-told-me-how-much-time-i-have-left\/"},"modified":"2025-07-03T19:10:07","modified_gmt":"2025-07-03T19:10:07","slug":"katie-thurston-my-oncologist-never-told-me-how-much-time-i-have-left","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/03\/katie-thurston-my-oncologist-never-told-me-how-much-time-i-have-left\/","title":{"rendered":"Katie Thurston: &#8216;My oncologist never told me how much time I have left&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"byline\">\n<p>        <time itemprop=\"datePublished\" content=\"2025-07-03\" datetime=\"1751569807\" pubdate=\"\">3 July 2025<\/time>\n    <\/p>\n<p>Katie Thurston admitted she has no idea \u201chow much time I have left\u201d amid her stage four cancer battle. <\/p>\n<p>                            <\/p>\n<p class=\"image-caption landscape\">Katie Thurston: &#8216;My oncologist never told me how much time I have left&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>\nThe 34-year-old TV star was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2025 but revealed she never asked her oncologist for a prognosis and she still worries about every scan.<\/p>\n<p>\nSpeaking in a new Instagram video, Katie said: \u201cMy oncologist never told me how much time I have left, and I\u2019ve never asked.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cStage four is a very scary mentality at times, because it is forever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nRevealing that a recent biopsy came back benign and she and husband Jeff Arcuri have been enjoying a vacation in Greece, Katie said: \u201cA part of me was like, \u2018Thank you. Thank you, God, Thank you universe for these blessings and everything you\u2019ve given me today.\u2019 I enjoyed wine. I enjoyed the sugars, you know, the desserts. I enjoyed the memories that I\u2019m making. Because what\u2019s the point of not living when you\u2019re given today? You know, when you\u2019re given life?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nHowever, she admitted there is always a fear that her treatment isn\u2019t working and that the disease is progressing.<\/p>\n<p>\nShe explained: \u201cBut there\u2019s a small part of me that like feels like a dog before it dies, gets this, like, this big boost, you know. I\u2019m not trying to even make this like a sad video. I\u2019m just being honest that cancer is very much like a trained lifestyle at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nKatie will have a new scan next week \u201cto see how meds are working, the good news would be either no growth or even shrinkage\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\nAnd, in between scans she does her best to live her life.<\/p>\n<p>\nShe said: \u201cOftentimes when I\u2019m entering back into the reality of cancer, that\u2019s when things start to hit.
