\t\t<\/p>\n Amal Clooney<\/strong><\/a> is providing a glimpse into her personal life with George Clooney<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The 47-year-old human rights lawyer spoke out in a conversation for Glamour<\/a><\/em>, out now.<\/p>\n During the discussion, Amal discussed her philanthropic endeavors, why it is so important for women to continue to show up for one another, and provided some rare comments about her life with her husband and their children.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n On her partnership with husband George Clooney:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI have a partner in life who is so supportive of what I do. So I don\u2019t feel like I have to apologize for it or rein it in. And I remember when I became a mom, which was obviously a new frontier, he was the first one to say, \u2018I know you\u2019ve got this speech at the Security Council. You have to go, I\u2019ve got the kids, don\u2019t worry about it.\u2019 I feel so incredibly lucky to share every day with him. And now we\u2019re four. And I don\u2019t take any of it for granted. I treasure the laughter and the joy that I get from just being with them.\u201d<\/p>\n On protecting privacy:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cCreating private moments and spaces is becoming increasingly difficult. But that\u2019s also why we entertain a lot at home. I now have a phone basket that I use to take everyone\u2019s phones away! It\u2019s important to get that balance where you have time alone with your family and with your friends where people feel like you can have a safe and frank exchange. And I would say becoming a parent means you\u2019re more troubled by some of the intrusions. So we do the best we can to minimize any impact on our children. We don\u2019t put our children out there, we\u2019ve never put their photo out there or anything like that.\u201d<\/p>\n On what she would tell her younger self:<\/p>\n \u201cI try to tell young people to flip their attitude from \u2018Why me?\u2019 to \u2018Why not me?\u2019 So they approach an opportunity not thinking \u2018why would they pick me\u2019 but \u2018why not.\u2019 I was lucky\u2014I grew up in a place that was safe; with parents who supported me; and an amazing education. Many girls don\u2019t have this start in life; they face very significant barriers. And it\u2019s a driving force in my work to remove those barriers. I was born in a part of the world\u2014in the Middle East\u2014where many women don\u2019t have equal rights and many girls don\u2019t have the same opportunities as boys.\u201d<\/p>\n The couple also just made a red carpet appearance together.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
