(<strong>Cassie<\/strong>\u2019s lawyer and the prosecution <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/cassies-lawyer-and-prosecutors-seek-to-deny-diddys-bail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">both asked the<\/a> judge to deny bail.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The decision comes after Diddy, 55, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/diddy-sex-trafficking-trial-verdict-reached\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">was acquitted<\/span><\/a> on racketeering and sex trafficking charges. He was, however, found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Each count carries a sentence of a maximum of 10 years in prison. After Diddy, 55, was found guilty of both counts on Wednesday, July 2, the prosecution [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Each transportation charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. The prosecution previously asked that Diddy serve any potential sentence consecutively, meaning he may face a maximum of 20 years in prison. (Diddy\u2019s sentencing date has yet to be announced.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The 12-person jury \u2014 consisting of eight men and four women \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/is-the-jury-deliberating-in-the-diddy-trial-case-updates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">began their deliberations<\/span><\/a> on Monday, June 30, in regards to Diddy\u2019s highly publicized sex trafficking trial.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">While the jury reached a verdict on four of the five counts on Tuesday, July 1, they remained deadlocked on the racketeering conspiracy charge. After receiving additional instructions from the judge, they briefly continued deliberating on Wednesday before reaching a verdict on all counts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">After the verdicts were read, Diddy\u2019s attorney <strong>Marc Agnifilo<\/strong> asked for the immediate release of the rapper so he could be allowed to return to his Miami Beach home on Star Island.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cHis family is here and could sign a bond,\u201d Agnifilo told the judge. \u201cHe should be released today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">When Subramanian asked, \u201cAre you proposing he just walk outside now?\u201d Agnifilo replied, \u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cHe is no longer charged with sex trafficking or racketeering,\u201d the defense attorney added. \u201cHis plane has been chartered \u2014 it is in Maui. He does not have access to his plane. This is his first conviction, and it is a prostitution offense.
