\u201cI feel good,\u201d the 85-year-old told the Daily Mail outside the Manhattan federal courthouse on Wednesday (02,07.25.)<\/p>\n
Her 55-year-old music mogul son, known professionally as Diddy, was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges after a seven-week trial. <\/p>\n
He was, however, convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, each carrying a potential 10-year prison sentence. <\/p>\n
The jury in his case reached its decision after 13 hours of deliberation. <\/p>\n
\nCombs has been in custody since his arrest in September 2024 and is due back in court at 5pm to hear whether he will be granted bail.<\/p>\n
\nHis children expressed joy following the verdict. <\/p>\n
\nChristian Combs, 27, also known as King Combs, told the Daily Mail: \u201cFirst thing I\u2019m gonna do is hug my Pops!\u201d <\/p>\n
\nJustin Combs, 31, said: \u201cI am so happy.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nChristian added: \u201cWe were hopeful but you never know.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nCombs’ longtime friend, music producer Charlucci Finney, who has known him for 40 years, also joined the family at the courthouse. <\/p>\n
\nAs they left together, Christian and Finney led cheers and screams in the elevator. <\/p>\n
\nFinney, appearing emotional, said: \u201cI just didn\u2019t know which way it was gonna go. I haven\u2019t even processed this yet. Man it\u2019s incredible he\u2019s gonna be coming home.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJanice, who remained composed in court, smiled and waved at cameras as she left the building with her sister and grandchildren. <\/p>\n
\nThe twins embraced as the verdict was read, while spectators erupted in celebration when the jury foreman delivered three counts of not guilty.<\/p>\n
\nAcross town, 38-year-old Cassie Ventura, Combs\u2019 former girlfriend and a central witness in the case, reportedly reacted with horror to the verdict. <\/p>\n
\nHer lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, told CNN: \u201cObviously, Cassie Ventura, at that point in time and today, is not the winner.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nWigdor issued a statement after the verdict, praising Ventura\u2019s testimony and the impact it had. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cShe displayed unquestionable strength and brought attention to the realities of powerful men in our orbit and the misconduct that has persisted for decades without repercussion,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\nHe also rejected the defence\u2019s portrayal of Ventura as victorious due to a multimillion-dollar civil settlement in 2023. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cNo amount of money is going to ever undo what she had to endure and what she had to go through,\u201d Wigdor said, referencing Ventura\u2019s claims of rape and being forced into \u201cdays long sexual acts with UTIs\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nCassie, who was eight months pregnant when she testified, is now said to be focusing on her family. <\/p>\n
\nHer husband, Alex Fine, was seen entering their Manhattan home with their children shortly after the verdict was delivered.<\/p>\n
\nCombs\u2019 defence attorney Marc Agnifilo told the Daily Mail: \u201cIt feels great,\u201d after leaving the courtroom. The legal team is pushing for Combs\u2019 release on a $1million bond, though prosecutors have opposed bail.<\/p>\n
\nDuring the trial, Agnifilo had referred to Ventura as the \u201cwinner\u201d in the case, but Wigdor dismissed that description, instead highlighting Ventura\u2019s role in the two counts that resulted in Combs\u2019 conviction.<\/p>\n
\nAlongside Ventura, another woman testified under the pseudonym Jane. <\/p>\n
\nProsecutors argued Combs had operated a criminal enterprise over several years, but the jury rejected those central claims, delivering acquittals on the most serious charges.<\/p>\n
