28 June 2025<\/time>\n <\/p>\nScott Porter has been surprised by the success of Ginny and Georgia.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nScott Porter stars on the Netflix show<\/p>\n\nThe 45-year-old actor has played Mayor Paul Randolph in the hit Netflix series since 2021, and he admits that the show has surpassed his own expectations.<\/p>\n\nAsked about the show’s long-term future, Scott told Us Weekly: “Our creator, Sarah [Lampert], is an infinite well of stories. I\u2019m sure we could spin this thing for an awful long time.<\/p>\n\n“And it\u2019s up to Netflix on whether or not we continue on. But, let me just say to our viewers, thank you so much for tuning in over these first three seasons. We never expected the show to be a hit the way that it is \u2014 and it\u2019s all because of you all. So thank you.”<\/p>\n\nThe show – which follows a young single mother who tries to run away from her past – has already been renewed for a fourth season, and Scott still loves working on Ginny and Georgia.<\/p>\n\nHe shared: “I trust [the writers]. They are mapping out a show that\u2019s unlike anything I\u2019ve ever been on before. The twists, the turns, the cliffhangers and it works. <\/p>\n\n“So these scenes, my No. 1 word for this season and for me filling the shoes of Paul is \u2018intimidating.\u2019 I was intimidated with some of the stuff they presented me with and I wasn\u2019t sure if I could keep up with our two leads who were so incredible.<\/p>\n\n“When they\u2019re asking Paul to reach these emotional depths, falling apart in front of our eyes and letting a little bit of his inner darkness out, I was intimidated.”<\/p>\n\nScott has also revealed his hopes for his own character in season four.<\/p>\n\nThe actor said: “There\u2019s parts of Paul we still don\u2019t understand and we haven\u2019t seen. So his resilience and how he rebounds from this in season four, I\u2019d love to see some of that. I\u2019d love to see a little bit of the old Paul.<\/p>\n\n“We\u2019ve heard how good he is at his job. He was elected mayor before Georgia ever walked into his life.
