Jenny Mollen<\/strong><\/a> opened up about how microdosing GLP1 medication ended up sending her to the emergency room.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just posted a follow-up to my piece about Tirzepatide and microdosing,\u201d Mollen, 46, said in an Instagram Story on Thursday, June 26. \u201cI had a lot of unanswered questions about it [that] just ironically got answered for me in the form of a trip to the ER two nights ago \u2026 I\u2019m in such a f***ing haze. It\u2019s been a crazy 48 hours.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tirzepatide is a GLP1 which can regulate a person\u2019s blood sugar, appetite and digestion. The medication is typically used to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity. In recent years, many people have also used GLP1s<\/a> like Ozempic and Wegovy for weight loss<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mollen, who is the wife of Jason Biggs<\/strong><\/a>, also shared via her Instagram Story that after taking the GLP1, she ended up in the hospital and lost one-fourth of her blood. She included multiple clips of her in an ambulance.<\/p>\n

In an essay published via Substack<\/a> on Thursday, Mollen expressed her \u201cgrowing concerns\u201d about how the medication was affecting her \u201cmentally.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI do think that in the coming years, we will hear more about how GLP1s cause depression, ruin marriages and rob us of our capacity for feeling joy,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThese drugs bind to our neurotransmitters, affecting levels of dopamine and serotonin. They change our relationship with food. And I believe they also change our relationship with people and ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

When trying out the prescription, Mollen \u201cfully understood\u201d why others have a desire to use it. However, she is worried about how it can affect a person\u2019s mental health and recounted her first-hand experience.<\/p>\n
