Yeehaw! Country music<\/a> is back in a big way for The Academy of Country Music Awards, and stars are ready to strut their stuff on the red carpet<\/a> on Thursday, May 11, at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Country\u2019s biggest celebrities will be graced by the hosting skills of the one and only Dolly Parton<\/strong> and superstar Garth Brooks<\/strong>, both of whom dished about the gig ahead of the show.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m older than music,\u201d Dolly joked to The Boot<\/em> in January 2018 of her iconic career. \u201cI have been <\/span>around<\/span><\/i>. I made my first album 50 years ago. I think about how long I\u2019ve been in the business, and that I\u2019m still here, and that I still seem to be important, and that makes me feel good.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Garth, meanwhile, admitted that he is a little anxious to be up on stage with such a magnetic performer like Dolly, telling <\/span>Entertainment Tonight<\/span><\/i><\/a> ahead of the awards show, \u201cI\u2019m nervous to stand next to her. She\u2019s so approachable but yet she seems untouchable, right? Because, I mean, she\u2019s just a goddess, come on.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The country hitmaker is in good hosting company, however, as Dolly was the emcee of the ACM Awards back in 2000. Though this is his first time in the driver\u2019s seat, Garth appears to be in good spirits.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe fact that they would even ask is flattering and the fact that I get to host with Ms. Parton is unbelievable,\u201d he admitted to <\/span>Billboard<\/span><\/i> about two months before showtime. \u201cThe surprise of the night is you\u2019re going see this beautiful woman carry this 260-pound ass all night.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n With nominees including Carrie Underwood<\/strong><\/a>, Miranda Lambert<\/strong><\/a>, Kelsea Ballerini<\/strong> <\/a>and Chris Stapleton<\/strong>, the 2023 ACM Award show is surely going to be a must-see event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
