Ashanti<\/a> never imagined she would rekindle her romance with Nelly.<\/p>\n

Ashanti and Nelly tied the knot in 2023<\/p>\n

The 44-year-old singer dated Nelly on and off from 2003 until 2013, and the celebrity duo began dating again in 2023 – but Ashanti<\/a> never saw their reunion coming following an acrimonious break-up.<\/p>\n

Speaking about their rekindled romance, Ashanti<\/a> told Extra: “I’m a firm believer in what’s meant to be will be, you know, and from the Verzuz hug to the phone call later to us talking and, you know, things just kind of organically, naturally happening, it’s kinda like you gotta trust the process.<\/p>\n

“I just never saw it coming … When you put feelings away for a long time and then they kind of just creep back out and you\u2019re like, \u2018What happened? Why is this, why am I feeling like this?'”<\/p>\n

The loved-up couple are now parents to 11-month-old son KK, and Ashanti<\/a> has been busily planning a “huge” party for her baby boy.<\/p>\n

\nShe said: “We\u2019re gonna get the floor redone, we\u2019re gonna have the people come in, we\u2019re gonna have a bouncy castle, race cars, we\u2019re gonna have cotton candy. We\u2019re gonna be selling merch, like KK merch.”<\/p>\n

\nAshanti has embraced the challenge of motherhood, and she admits that her baby boy has transformed her life.<\/p>\n

\nShe shared: “It\u2019s the most amazing thing ever \u2026 completely changed my life \u2026 Just being a mom and having those feelings that I didn\u2019t even know existed is just like the best thing ever.”<\/p>\n

\nThe couple – who tied the knot in December 2023 – are now set to star in their own reality TV series called Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together.<\/p>\n

\nAnd the rap star thinks it will be a “dope” experience” to have their own show.<\/p>\n

\nNelly said: “I had the success of the \u2018Nellyville\u2019 type of thing, and now to have somebody who is as outgoing and as charismatic as she is and as funny as she is, I just thought that it would really, really be dope that people get to see what I see all the time \u2026 kind of bring that partnership together in a sense of letting people into a different day and age of Nelly and Ashanti.”<\/p>\n
