It is how they elicit sympathy, craft a redemption narrative, and lure in their next victim. Amber says that she does not regret abusing Gary.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-tiktok wp-block-embed-tiktok\"\/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-am-i-sorry-hell-no\">\u2018Am I sorry? \u2026 Hell, no\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cHoney, you shouldn\u2019t have cheated on me, what do you want me to do?\u201d Amber Portwood taunted on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@thecrashoutchronicle\/video\/7517643533969411342\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TikTok Live<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAm I sorry for certain things I did after you cheated on me? Hell no, not at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She continued: \u201cNot one bit. You should not have cheated on me three times.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To be clear, what Amber is doing here is textbook victim-blaming. Like, come on now. [That\u2019s] crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As if she were the good guy in the situation, she added: \u201cAnd I stuck by [him] with all of that other crap. Come on now!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Again, nothing could excuse domestic violence. Someone making you angry does not entitle you to hit them. Your partner, your kids, your family will probably make you mad sometimes. <\/p>\n<p>If you respond with violence, you abdicate any pretense of being a good person. Being a terrible, irredeemable person is not a mental illness.
