John Cena<\/strong><\/a> is passionate about both acting and professional wrestling, but nothing beats love!<\/p>\n

The Heads of State<\/em> actor and reigning WWE Champion<\/a>, 48, sweetly gushed over his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh<\/strong>, when asked if acting or wrestling was his \u201cnumber one passion.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy number one passion is my wife,\u201d Cena told Extra<\/em><\/a> Tuesday, June 24, at the New York City premiere of Heads of State<\/em>. \u201cAbsolutely. That is the first on the list. I\u2019d say right behind that is my health so I can be the best husband to my wife.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cena and Shariatzadeh met in February 2019. He proposed to her during a low-key date night at home a year later on Valentine\u2019s Day. The couple tied the knot in October 2020.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJohn Cena and wife Shay Shariatzadeh\u2019s low-profile relationship made their October 2020 wedding all the more surprising. The pair were initially linked in March 2019 when they were spotted holding hands after a dinner date in Canada. The relationship marked the first time Cena had been spotted on a date since his engagement to Nikki [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt was beautiful,\u201d he said of the proposal<\/a> during a February 2024 appearance on The Howard Stern Show<\/em>. \u201cAnd I had the ring in my pocket because I was afraid I\u2019d lose it in my bag, by chance, and I [decided to] ask her right now. So I blew all the special plans and just said \u2018Hey, there\u2019s no better moment,\u2019 because there wasn\u2019t \u2014 it was so beautiful, still, we were both so open and it just happened right there.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI would have done it in three months,\u201d he added. \u201cIt might have been a little weird, yes. I don\u2019t want to speak for her, but she didn\u2019t say no when I asked.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cena previously spoke about his wife<\/a> in a July 2024 interview with WSJ. Magazine<\/em>.<\/p>\n

When asked what his most prized possession was, the 17-time world champion replied, \u201cThe relationship with my wife.\u201d<\/p>\n
