\t\t<\/p>\n Guitarist Mick Ralphs<\/strong><\/a> has sadly passed away at 81. <\/p>\n Mick<\/strong>\u2018s family shared a statement<\/a> announcing his death on Monday (June 23) but did not share any details on the location or cause of death. <\/p>\n Mick<\/strong> was a founding member, guitar player, and songwriter for iconic 70s bands Bad Company and Mott the Hoople. Following a stroke in 2016, Mick<\/strong> had been bedridden and was living in an assisted living facility for some time. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Paul Rogers<\/strong> of Bad Company wrote in the statement about Mick<\/strong>\u2018s death, \u201cOur Mick<\/strong> has passed, my heart just hit the ground. He has left us with exceptional songs and memories. He was my friend, my songwriting partner, an amazing and versatile guitarist who had the greatest sense of humour. Our last conversation a few days ago we shared a laugh but it won\u2019t be our last. There are many memories of Mick<\/strong> that will create laughter. Condolences to everyone who loved him especially his one true love, Susie<\/strong>. I will see you in heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n Simon Kirke<\/strong> of Bad Company shared his own condolences in the statement, writing, \u201cHe was a dear friend, a wonderful songwriter, and an exceptional guitarist.
