Hopes that Taylor Swift<\/strong> would escape the legal battle between<\/a> Blake Lively<\/strong> and Justin Baldoni<\/strong> were dashed Wednesday, when US District Judge Lewis Liman<\/strong> ruled that texts between the billionaire artist<\/a> and longtime pal<\/a> Lively<\/a> must be shared with Baldoni\u2019s legal team.<\/p>\n By now, we all know the bare bones of the situation: After months of speculation that all was not well<\/a> on the set of the Baldoni-directed It Ends With Us<\/em><\/a>, Lively filed a legal complaint accusing Baldoni and his fellow producers of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior\u2014and claimed the filmmakers had enacted a PR response<\/a> intended to erode Lively\u2019s credibility were she to speak out.<\/p>\n In response, Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation suit against Lively (among others<\/a>)\u2014and as part of the suit, attorney Bryan Freedman<\/strong> subpoenaed Swift<\/a>, claiming she had the inside track on what really went down during production for the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover<\/strong>\u2019s bestselling book<\/a> about abusive and controlling men.<\/p>\n
