The 40-year-old former sports star was by Nicole’s side throughout her run in Sunset Blvd, the hit musical, in London and New York, and Nicole has revealed that she really appreciates having his support.<\/p>\n
Nicole, 46 – who plays Norma Desmond in the musical – told People: “It’s really important to have a partner who supports you and believes in you, like I said in my [Tony Awards acceptance] speech, when you sometimes forget to believe in yourself.<\/p>\n
“And he’s been such a constant and a rock for me during this time, and he just really, he really gets me, my fiance. He’s gotten me from day one.”<\/p>\n
Nicole feels that Thom really “understands” how she approaches her work.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress – who has been engaged to Thom since 2023 – shared: “I’m a bit of a perfectionist. I’m an extremely hard worker. Nothing’s ever enough. And he understands that about me, and he supports me in every way that I need to be supported. And he just gets me.”<\/p>\n
\nNicole loves that Thom is so respectful and understanding of her needs.<\/p>\n
\nThe former Pussycat Dolls star said: “He’s just the best.<\/p>\n
\n“He’ll go. He’ll be like, ‘I’m going to go to London, give you your space’, but then he came back right in time to just be there for me and to hold my hand. He’s the best.”<\/p>\n
\nDespite this, Nicole recently revealed that she’s currently too busy to get married.<\/p>\n
\nAsked about her wedding plans, she told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “Oh, there\u2019s no wedding planning, honey. When you do Broadway, it’s only Broadway. You eat, sleep \u2013 you don’t sleep much \u2013 and breathe Broadway.<\/p>\n
\n“Thank God I have a very understanding and wonderful and the most supportive fiance.”<\/p>\n
\nWhat’s more, Nicole will be looking for another stage show after she leaves Sunset Blvd.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I still want to do more. This moment has made me dream again.<\/p>\n
\n“Growing up as a Filipino girl, I always loved Miss Saigon. I would love to be a part of that show. Aurora in Kiss of the Spider Woman is another dream role. Another is to maybe create my own musical.”<\/p>\n
