Hilary Duff opens up on eating habits<\/p>\n

The \u2018Lizzie McGuire\u2019 actress – who has daughters Banks, four, and 14-month-old Mae with her musician husband Matthew Koma, 35, as well as son Luca, 11, with her first spouse, ice hockey player Mike Comrie, 42 – told model Molly Sims, 49, on the \u2018Lipstick on the Rim\u2019 podcast that she gets up \u201creally hungry\u201d but sustains herself with coffee.<\/p>\n

Hilary accepts her fasting practices could be deemed to be controversial in the same way Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow<\/a>‘s statements back in March about intermittent fasts and bone broth meals were.<\/p>\n

Hilary said: “Sometimes I try to \u2013 you know, Gwyneth\u2019s in trouble for saying this \u2013 but sometimes I try to just drink coffee in the morning and starve off my hunger.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress-and-singer added she was \u201cobsessed\u201d with \u201ccauliflower rounds\u201d which she hailed as a \u201csuper clean\u201d food. To improve the taste and texture she likes to crisp them in an air fryer.<\/p>\n

\nHilary tops them with egg salad, a fried egg, avocado or vegan sausage, and enjoys overnight oats.<\/p>\n

\nBut Hilary insisted she makes sure to get \u201clots of calories\u201d while making her kids\u2019 lunches, adding: \u201cIf we\u2019re being honest, yeah, I eat a chicken nugget in the morning while I\u2019m packing lunches and there\u2019s one left over. Pop it down the hatch!\u201d<\/p>\n

\nHilary added she focuses on high-intensity interval training with her personal trainer.<\/p>\n

\nGwyneth made headlines a couple of months back when she revealed her daily eating routine which was criticised in many quarters for promoting unhealthy food habits.<\/p>\n

\nAppearing on Dr. Will Cole’s podcast ‘The Art of Being Well\u2019, the ‘Iron Man’ star said: “I usually eat something about 12. And in the morning, I’ll have some things that won’t spike my blood sugar. So, I have coffee. But I really like soup for lunch.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cI have bone broth for lunch a lot the days\u2026 and then, for dinner, I try to eat, you know, according to Paleo. So, lots of vegetables. It’s really important for me to support my detox.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nGwyneth also does at least \u201cone hour of movement\u201d a day in the form of a walk, Pilates or a Tracy Anderson workout, as well as dry brushing in the sauna for 30 minutes. <\/p>\n

\nThe \u2018Shakespeare in Love\u2019 actress said it was part of a way to treat her \u201clong COVID\u201d and the resulting \u201cvery high\u201d levels of \u201cinflammation\u201d, and stressed her regimen was \u201cnot meant to be advice for anyone else”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
