\t\t<\/p>\n The Divergent<\/strong><\/a><\/em> franchise never quite got to the finish line. However, the three movies that we got, based on Veronica Roth<\/strong>\u2018s novels, are still fan favorites that we remember fondly. <\/p>\n Set in a dystopian world, the series focused on Tris (Shailene Woodley<\/strong><\/a>) and her many adventures. It also highlighted her romance with Tobias Eaton (Theo James<\/strong><\/a>), more commonly known as Four. <\/p>\n While Shailene<\/strong> was the only actress in the running to play Tris, Theo<\/strong> faced some competition to play the male lead in the series. <\/p>\n The Divergent <\/em>series arrived on Netflix this summer, and we got curious about who else could have appeared in the movies. We rounded up eight stars who also auditioned for Theo<\/strong>\u2018s role. <\/p>\n Interestingly, very few actors have discussed the audition process.
