\t\t<\/p>\n How to Train Your Dragon<\/strong><\/a><\/em> is slaying the box office after being released last week. <\/p>\n If you didn\u2019t know, a live-action sequel has already been given the greenlight<\/a>!<\/p>\n Dean DeBlois<\/strong><\/a>, who wrote and directed the animated movies and the new live-action that just came out, shared an update on the status of the sequel in a new interview. <\/p>\n During his update, Dean<\/strong> revealed that it could deviate from the animated version, while the first live-action was very faithful, and he\u2019s still working on the script!<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s very amorphous right now. I think there\u2019s something about the second animated movie that most fans prefer out of the trilogy, and I want to hold on to that aspiration,\u201d he told Discussing Film<\/a><\/em>. \u201c[How to Train Your Dragon 2<\/em>] was like our Empire Strikes Back<\/em>, where everything got bigger and broader. Characters get richer and things get scarier, as well. That said, there are still regrets I have \u2014 having written and directed the second film \u2014 that I would love to address in the live-action version.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cSo, we don\u2019t necessarily have to color inside the lines [in terms of the original\u2019s story and plot], but it\u2019s an exploration at the moment.
