She was selected as President Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s Homeland Security secretary just days after he was elected for a second term. She was confirmed for the role by the Senate in late January.<\/p>\n Kristi<\/strong> is tasked with enforcing Trump<\/strong>\u2018s aggressive crackdown on immigration, including deploying troops to the border and deporting undocumented migrants.
