Grant Ellis<\/a> <\/strong>and Juliana Pasquarosa<\/strong><\/a> are moving forward after announcing they called off their engagement less than three months after the season 29 finale aired \u2014 and Bachelor Nation <\/a>has thoughts.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is one of the harder things I\u2019ve had to write, but I want to share it honestly. Juliana and I have decided to end our relationship<\/a>,\u201d Grant, 31, wrote via his Instagram Story on June 13. \u201cWe both gave this our best and poured a lot of love into each other, but after a lot of deep conversations, we\u2019ve come to the understanding that we\u2019re simply not the right fit long term.\u201d<\/p>\n Juliana, for her part, shared that she and Grant will continue to \u201ccheer each other on\u201d<\/a> but from \u201cdifferent places.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a gift to find someone who sees the world in a way that resonates with you, while also encouraging you to grow. I\u2019ve been grateful to share that experience with Grant,\u201d she wrote via her Instagram Story on the same day their split was announced. \u201cMarriage is a commitment, and it\u2019s one we both still believe in deeply. After a lot of honest conversations and reflection, we\u2019ve come to the decision that this chapter of our lives is meant to continue on separate paths. We shared something meaningful, navigating a unique journey side by side [and] learning, growing and showing up for each other the best we knew how. While this isn\u2019t the ending we once imagined, it\u2019s one filled with mutual respect, care and hope for what\u2019s ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n She concluded her message urging followers to \u201cplease be kind.\u201d Scroll down to see Bachelor Nation\u2019s reaction to Grant and Juliana\u2019s split:<\/p>\n Juliana\u2019s fellow season 29 contestant weighed in on the split via TikTok, though she decided not to name names.<\/p>\n \u201cMy opinion is anyone claiming to be ready for an engagement with the Bachelor without actually going on a one-on-one with that person is probably trying to \u2018win The Bachelor<\/em>\u2019 more than trying to connect with the actual human,\u201d Carolina said after the former couple announced the end of their engagement. \u201cAnyone who goes out of their way to s*** on someone who\u2019s simply saying they\u2019re nervous about the Bachelor potentially meeting their family and how quickly everything is moving because there is an engagement at the end of it, um, probably not a very nice person.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cMy opinion is that then lying and then saying that person had nothing good to say about that date is even worse. Branding yourself as a \u2018nice girl\u2019 is probably like you\u2019re trying to overcompensate for something. We all know what you stand for. My opinion is that if she hadn\u2019t been \u2018the winner,\u2019 everyone would have seen a very different side to all of this.\u201d<\/p>\n While reflecting on Carolina\u2019s claims in a statement to Us Weekly<\/em>, Juliana noted that the remarks \u201caren\u2019t surprising.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cThis feels like an attempt to turn our breakup into engagement. That\u2019s her choice,\u201d Juliana exclusively told Us. \u201cAs for me, I\u2019m not interested in going back and forth. Eye for an eye isn\u2019t my vibe. I\u2019m focused on healing, staying close to my support system and keeping it all about nice girl energy \u2014 always.\u201d<\/p>\n The season 4 Bachelor pointed to Us<\/em>\u2019 interview with Grant, where he shared that he and Juliana were taking their relationship \u201cday by day,\u201d as a sign that a split was on the horizon.<\/p>\n \u201cGrant had said that he and Juliana were taking their engagement day by day. Now that, I will tell you, is a telltale, right?\u201d Bob said during a June 13 episode of the \u201cAlmost Famous\u201d podcast. \u201cSo, one thing I\u2019ve learned from watching these shows over the years and seeing a few months later as people come through, and if they still haven\u2019t set a date or maybe they still haven\u2019t arrived at something. Three months, I think that\u2019s probably a little premature.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cI think everybody\u2019s taking it day by day at that point. They hadn\u2019t even moved in together.
