\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Suzanne Somers<\/strong><\/a> is looking back at turning down a co-hosting job on The View<\/strong><\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n The 76-year-old Three\u2019s Company<\/em> star revealed in a new interview that she was offered the opportunity to co-host the ABC daytime talk show when the show was in development back in the late \u201990s.<\/p>\n The late Barbara Walters<\/strong><\/a> created The View<\/em>, which premiered back in 1997, and co-hosted the show with Joy Behar<\/strong><\/a>, Meredith Vieira<\/strong><\/a>, Star Jones<\/strong><\/a>, and Debbie Matenopoulos<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n In the interview, Suzanne<\/strong> revealed the two reasons why she turned down the gig.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cEveryone said, \u2018Why would you turn that down? It\u2019s a national show.\u2019 I said, first of all, I\u2019d have to live in New York and I don\u2019t want to live in New York. I like the weather down here, the vibe down here,\u201d Suzanne<\/strong>, who lives in California, shared on the Behind the Velvet Rope<\/em> podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI said, secondly, I don\u2019t do well vying for time,\u201d Suzanne<\/strong> continued. \u201cAnd there, you gotta interrupt and butt in and butt out. It\u2019s just not my personality. So, I walked away from that and I never looked back.\u201d<\/p>\n Suzanne <\/strong>actually hosted her own eponymous daytime talk show in 1994, however, the show only lasted one season.<\/p>\n Suzanne<\/strong> later went on to co-host Candid Camera<\/em> with Peter Funt<\/strong> on CBS from 1997 until 2000.<\/p>\n Just recently, a former co-host of The View<\/em> slammed the show<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
