Janelle Brown<\/strong><\/a> shared an update on her fitness journey<\/a> shortly after confirming she and Kody Brown<\/strong><\/a> have been separated for months<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m ready for you 2023!\u201d the Sister Wives<\/em><\/a> star, 53, captioned an Instagram video<\/a> on Monday, December 12. \u201cThis health journey I\u2019ve been on has been incredible. The results weren\u2019t overnight and I\u2019m okay with that. It\u2019s all about slow and steady that wins the race\ud83d\udcaa\ud83c\udffc. 2023 is my year! If you want to come on this journey WITH me, let\u2019s do this!\u201d<\/p>\n The clip was soundtracked to Birdy\u2019s \u201cKeeping Your Head Up\u201d and showed various images of Janelle from over the years. \u201cAt what point do you decide it\u2019s time,\u201d she wrote across the footage. \u201cTime to put your health first. Because this \u2026 has been a game changer.\u201d<\/p>\n Snippets played of the Utah native lifting weights at a gym<\/a> as she concluded, \u201cI\u2019m coming for you 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n The candid recap came one day after fans of the TLC reality series learned Janelle and Kody, 53, had called it quits<\/a> after more than 20 years of marriage. \u201cI think if we both really sat down, we\u2019d look at each other and say, \u2018Really?’\u201d she confessed in a sneak peek<\/a> of the upcoming Sister Wives: One-on-One<\/em> special that aired after the Sunday, December 11, season 17 finale<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019ve been separated for several months.\u201d<\/p>\n Kody confirmed the split to host Sukanya Krishnan<\/strong>, adding: \u201cJanelle has made it pretty clear to me that she\u2019s enjoying her life without me.\u201d<\/p>\n The twosome spiritually wed in 1993 and share six children<\/a>: Logan<\/strong>, 28, Maddie<\/strong>, 27, Hunter<\/strong>, 25, Garrison<\/strong>, 24, Gabriel<\/strong>, 21, and Savanah<\/strong>, 18. Janelle is the second of Kody\u2019s wives to leave him in the past two years after Christine Brown<\/strong><\/a> announced the couple\u2019s split<\/a> in November 2021. (The Wyoming native is still spiritually married to Meri Brown<\/strong><\/a> and legally wed to Robyn Brown<\/strong><\/a>.)<\/p>\n Ahead of the season 17 finale, viewers watched Janelle and her fellow sister wives adjust<\/a> in the wake of Kody\u2019s separation from Christine, 51, who moved back to Utah with daughter Truely, 12, after the breakup.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been a bit of a civil war. The whole family in a way,\u201d the patriarch told the cameras on Sunday\u2019s episode. \u201cI\u2019m looking at Janelle wondering whose side she\u2019s on.\u201d<\/p>\n Meri, 51, and Robyn, 44, remained loyal to Kody throughout the family shakeup, but Janelle continued to value her close friendship to Christine. During the tense season finale, she admitted that it didn\u2019t feel as though her children were a true part of the plural family.<\/p>\n \u201cTo be honest with you, I really don\u2019t know if I want to do the work. It feels like I\u2019m being forced to choose between my children and this group,\u201d Janelle said as the brood contemplated where to spend the holidays. \u201cI don\u2019t feel like my children are welcome<\/a>. \u2026 At the end of the day, I think I\u2019d rather be with my kids. [And] you\u2019re getting upset with me.\u201d<\/p>\n She later told her now-estranged spouse and the other women: \u201cThere\u2019s a strong pull to just run away and do the easy thing.\u201d<\/p>\n Along with reevaluating her relationship<\/a>, Janelle has spent the year centering her health and wellness. The Life With Health & Happiness diet company founder often reminds her social media followers that everyone\u2019s path to fitness<\/a> is different.<\/p>\n \u201cHealth isn\u2019t a one size fits all thing, and it may not look the same for everyone,\u201d she wrote via Instagram in December 2021. \u201cBut it is something worth fighting for.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
