Donnie Wahlberg<\/strong><\/a> just hinted at some potential Blue Bloods<\/em><\/a> cameos on Boston Blue<\/em> \u2014 so which of his former costars could reprise their roles in the CBS spinoff?<\/p>\n Wahlberg, 55, recently weighed in on how Blue Bloods<\/em> and Boston Blue<\/em> would crossover, telling Fox News Digital,<\/a> \u201cThe viewers are saying, \u2018How do we keep going with a Blue Bloods spinoff without the whole family?\u2019 And I share that. How do we do that, right?\u201d<\/p>\n The actor noted that there have been conversations<\/a> about navigating how to introduce Boston Blue while still honoring the Blue Bloods legacy. He also teased that a member of the Reagan family is just a \u201cphone call away.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNow, it\u2019s just Danny going to this new world, but I can\u2019t say a lot about it \u2014 but I could say, if he\u2019s a Reagan, it will never be just Danny,\u201d he added. \u201cThere\u2019ll always be a Reagan a phone call away.\u201d<\/p>\n Wahlberg continued: \u201cAnd the traditions that the Reagans have, Danny wouldn\u2019t abandon those traditions.\u201d<\/p>\n Blue Bloods, which premiered in 2010, followed the lives of the Reagan family, many of whom work for the NYPD under the leadership of NYC police commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck<\/strong>). Selleck, 80, later addressed the official cancellation news and questioned the decision.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m kind of frustrated,\u201d he told TV Insider<\/em> in October 2024. \u201cDuring those last eight shows, I haven\u2019t wanted to talk about an ending for Blue Bloods but about it still being wildly successful.\u201d<\/p>\n Selleck argued that Blue Bloods should have remained on the air, saying, \u201cI\u2019m not going to turn into a bitter old guy saying, \u2018Get off my lawn.\u2019 I don\u2019t believe in holding grudges, but if you were to say to the television network, \u2018Here\u2019s a show you can program in the worst time slot you got, and it is going to guarantee you winning Friday night for the next 15 years,\u2019 it would be almost impossible to believe.\u201d<\/p>\n At the time, Selleck said his frustration came<\/a> from the show always being \u201ctaken for granted because it performed from the get-go.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSo, how do I feel?\u201d he continued. \u201cIt\u2019s going to take a long time to sort all of this out.
