\t\t<\/p>\n Keira Knightley<\/strong><\/a> opens up about her first Oscar<\/strong><\/a> nomination. <\/p>\n The 40-year-old actress was nominated for Best Actress in 2006 for her work in Pride and Prejudice<\/em>, when she was just 20 years old. <\/p>\n In a new interview looking back at the movie with co-star Rosamund Pike<\/strong><\/a>, Keira<\/strong> shared she was confused by her nomination due to negative reviews of her in Pirates of the Caribbean<\/em> around the same time. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt was pretty big for my career,\u201d she told Vanity Fair<\/a> <\/em>of the nomination. \u201cIf people will come up to me, it\u2019ll be about that one. Pirates of the Caribbean <\/em>had already come out, but I think in the public consciousness, I was seen as a terrible actress. But I had this phenomenally big success with Pirates<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI think this was the first one that was a phenomenally big success, but was also critically acclaimed,\u201d she continued. \u201cSo I remember it coming out maybe the same year, maybe around the same time as Pirates 2<\/em>. And I got the worst reviews ever for that, and then also being nominated for an Oscar at the same time\u2014it was, in my 21-year-old head, quite confusing.\u201d<\/p>\n Keira<\/strong> was also nominated for a second Oscar in 2015 for Best Supporting Actress for The Imitation Game<\/em>.<\/p>\n Last month, Keira<\/strong> was in Italy for the Chanel Cruise 25\/26 Fashion Show<\/em>.
