Kathryn Hahn<\/a>, 51, as the two reunited to reflect on their shared experience filming the 2003 romantic comedy How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, in which they played best friends. <\/p>\nDescribing the start of their friendship in an Actors on Actors interview for Variety, Kate told Kathryn: “You had this bag \u2013 I don\u2019t even know what was in it; it was like you were traveling \u2013\u00a0and I immediately was like, \u2018I love this woman so much\u2019” <\/p>\n
The film marked Kathryn’s first movie role and helped launch her screen career. At the time, Kate had recently starred in Almost Famous, directed by Cameron Crowe, for which she received an Academy Award nomination.<\/p>\n
“It was my first movie,” Kathryn said. “To have you as the lead of it was so grounding. I don\u2019t know what I imagined it would be like, but I certainly didn\u2019t imagine it to feel just so freaking fun and loose and supported.”<\/p>\n
\nThe pair went on to recall Kathryn\u2019s audition, which made a strong impression on them both. <\/p>\n
\n“You came in and you were just like, \u2018Oh my God. I\u2019m so sorry. I couldn\u2019t find the parking,\u2019” Kate said. <\/p>\n
\nKathryn added: “I couldn\u2019t find a parking spot. I was so sweaty. I couldn\u2019t believe I was meeting you. I ran in, in a ruckus, and you were so welcoming.”<\/p>\n
\nBoth actresses are now showcasing their comedic range on television. <\/p>\n
\nKathryn is fronting Agatha All Along, a Disney+ series based on her WandaVision character Agatha Harkness. <\/p>\n
\nShe also stars in The Studio, an Apple TV+ comedy in which she plays an eccentric marketing executive.<\/p>\n
\nKate and Kathryn also discussed Kate using tarot cards on her birthday under a full moon, with Kathryn connecting the moment to receiving news about Agatha All Along. <\/p>\n
\n“You were saying, \u2018It\u2019s time to let things go. There\u2019s something you\u2019re holding on to,\u2019” Kathryn said. “I keep thinking about it: It was exactly what was supposed to be said at that moment.”<\/p>\n
\nKate also spoke candidly about her decision to pursue music. <\/p>\n
\n“In COVID, it really was like, God, if I die, I feel like I\u2019ve left things on the table; I haven\u2019t achieved my full potential as an artist,” she said. <\/p>\n
\nKate added: “And if I don\u2019t have the courage to do something that I love so much, what are my kids going to think?”<\/p>\n
